Harm Boukema werkkamer Harm Boukema

Harm Boukema (1945) studied mathematics and philosophy at the universities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. Having initially been attracted to philosophers who take a stand far away from the spirit of science, he came involved in ‘dialectics’ and especially in Hegelianism. In order to avoid vicious circularity, he looked for resistance and found it in analytic philosophers. His sympathy with them has grown considerably, but a residue of Hegelianism still prevents him from being their adherent. Since 1971 he has taught History of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
